SunFrog was founded in Gaylord, MI, where founder Josh Kent was born and raised. The roots run deep, and Josh truly believes there is nowhere better to operate his business.

Located in Northern Michigan, along a main interstate, Gaylord has long been renowned for its spectacular natural beauty and outdoor sporting. From golf, to canoeing,  and blue-ribbon fly fishing in the summer, to miles of groomed snowmobile trails and skiing opportunities, Gaylord is a magical place.

Gaylord is also built on a long tradition of manufacturing. The people of Gaylord know and respect hard work. It’s a blue collar city at it’s core.

Early entrepreneurs would come to Gaylord for its rich forests, producing products from lumber that would move across the state and the Midwest.

At the turn of the 20th century, Gaylord was home to one of the largest lumber plants in the world.

In the late 20’s, an auto company set up shop in Gaylord, producing 4 unique cars to share the road with the autos coming out of Detroit.

Gaylord was a key depot for several rail companies, going both North-South through the state and East-West across the Northern Lower Peninsula.

With such a rich heritage in creating, Gaylord is the perfect home for SunFrog. A team of workers committed to producing an outstanding product, from the honest work of labor, along with a deep-rooted tradition of innovation and creativity. It is an ideal home for SunFrog.
